BAH HUMBUG Dog Days!

"Meet my yorkie, Dexter! Yes, he was named after the amazing serial killer from the hit TV series! This photo was taken last Christmas, his second Christmas with the family. It's a bit of a strange story how Dexter came to us. He was found wondering alone by someone who knew my grandmother. My grandmother, soon after took him in. The only problem with that is that my grandmother has never kept a dog for more than two weeks. So, just in a few days into my grandmother's care, he magically appeared into ours. I thank God that he showed up out of the blue that night. He came at a very emotional time. Actually, he arrived at the very same night that I found out about a close friend death. I remember waking up the next morning, cuddling with my new best friend crying. He helped me through so many of my most difficult moments in my life, and at this very moment, my vision is being blurred by my emotional tears, but the emotions within my tears are love and hope, now that I have found my little love. At times he is really loud and obnoxious and gets physically and romantically out of hand with my eldest dog, Wubby, but this all does not make me love him any less. He has blessed me with another little love...his daughter, Izzy. Izzy is also a yorkie. She is the most comical pup I have ever met! She makes me laugh through my low points and surprises me with her wittiness and intelligence. She is a delight! Words cannot describe how marvelous she is. On the right, she is looking up at me while I am photographing her and Wubby, my eldest dog. All of these photos were taken last Christmas Day. Wubby is the most calm and serene family member in my house. He is actually taking part of his favorite hobby, which is sucking on pillows. Oh Lord! You have got to love him! I think it's therapeutic for him."

"Wubby became part of our family right after we lost my older sibling/loving family member/first dog ever...Poochie. I, along with my three other siblings, was devastated by the extended death of Poochie. Unfortunately, Poochie suffered from a tumor for years before he passed. After years of his suffering, we had no choice but to let him go. I can still hear myself crying as uncle came to take him away. I was yelling and begging them not to take him. This is the kind of relationships    I hold with all animals, especially dogs. It was never easy to say goodbye to any of my pets....And I've had many, including fish, turtles, snap alligator turtles, and even frogs. I have always been fascinated with all of God's creatures. It's always love at first sight with every animal I see. It's an inevitable thing. I would love my dogs so dearly and would do anything and everything for them. After losing Poochie, there was so much love my family had to give. So, eventually, after days of me and my siblings constant begging, my parents allowed us to adopt Wubby, our golden boy and my dad's best friend. As of now, they are my only pets, and I plan on keeping them forever. I do not know where I would be without my little loves. Girls my age have boyfriends, but I have something better....My dogs! No matter how many permanent bite marks and scars they leave left on my face and body, I will always appreciate and adore them all. The scars are just proof that I could never love people the way I love animals.    "This photo was taken right after me and my family opened our gifts on Christmas morning. My brothers both recieved a few articles of American Eagle clothing in the store's paper bags. For some reason, Dexter, I would have to say was getting the most attention that day. He seemed down and sad, so we kept trying to play with him and give more attention. He has always been an attention craved canine. After spontaneously propping him around christmas ornaments, my brother eventually came in, picked him up, and put him into his AE paper bag. Dexter is such a small, lightweight dog, so he was completely safe in this bag. I thought it was perfection and took a few snaps. Love!"

"This photo was taken when Dexter and his daughter Izzy were wrestling under our Christmas tree. Since moving into our previous home, we would walk in our development with Wubby and Dexter. Constantly one of our neighbors would approach us with her two very own little yorkies, and she would always bring up the question of us mating our dogs together. She very badly wanted to have baby yorkies. I guess she desperately wanted this, not only because of Dexter's good looks but also, because her dog was a bit more in age. Just like my family, she treated her dogs as her family and had that same special bond with her pets. I am so happy that she never stopped approaching us with the idea. If she had quit, I would never be blessed with such a unique and beautiful York Terrier. Izzy is nearly two years old now. Since the day she was born, she has not stopped bringing a laugh and smile to every one of my family members faces. In this picture she is tugging on her father's ear for attention. Dexter doesn't seem to be pleased. Priceless!"
